Instructional Gas Permeameter (TKA-209)
The TKA-209 measures sample permeability to gas (air, nitrogen, or helium) by the steady-state method. The unit is designed to be operated manually from controls on the front panel. It measures gas permeabilities in the rangeof 0.1 mD to 10 D. This simple to operate system requires only a small amount of bench space and is very easy to use and understand in operation. Flow rate range is measured with two electronic flow meters from 0-30 cc/min and from 0-1000 cc/min and differential pressure is measured using a 0-100 psi and a 0-30 psi transducers.

Instructional Helium Porosimeter (TPI-219)
The TPI-219 is a basic teaching and research grade instrument for gas porosimetry using the Boyle’s Law technique.  The manually-operated system includes a stand-alone grain volume chamber with insert sets for both 1.0” and 1.5” cores up to 3” in length. An accurate pressure transducer and readout are used to monitor pressure and the system includes a small pressure adjustment regulator for reliable accurate results. The standard precision pressure transducer and readout offers 0.25% overall accuracy. The TPI-219 can be utilized to directly measure grain volume and pore volume enabling calculation of grain density and porosity at helium pressures to 100 psi.

Instructional Capillary Pressure System (TGC-764)
This Gravimetric Capillary Pressure Measurement System offers a serious teaching and research level instrument for the simultaneous desaturation of multiple core samples by the  porous plate method at pressures up to 200 psi. The desaturation cell will accept a standard 10-inch ceramic porous plate with air-brine pressure ratings of 1, 3, or 15 bar. The TGC-764 pressure monitoring and control panel utilizes dual pressure gauge transducers ( 0-30 and 0-300 psi) which have digital LCD displays. The measured data can be utilized to calculate Capillary Pressure versus Saturation curves and tabular data, height above free water zone, pore size distribution, and water cut versus height.

  Instructional Liquid Permeameter (TBP-804)
The TBP-804 is a robust system designed for teaching experimental concepts in single and two phase liquid permeability.  The standard TBP-804 system enables the study of specific liquid permeability and can be optionally configured to include studies concerning relative permeability when two phases are flowing. The system is manually operated for performing tests under overburden pressures up to 500 psi. The basic TBP-804 system requires a source of liquid flow and can be used with several options which cover a range of prices and capabilities.
