SFS-032 Sonic Fluid Separator

OVERVIEW:

The SFS-032 Sonic Fluid Separator is a 2-phase acoustic separator for measuring liquid and/or gas volumes at reservoir pressures and temperatures. This is a precision device that can be used for determining brine, oil, and gas volumes that are produced during two-phase relative permeability tests, capillary pressure desaturation tests or virtually any procedure that requires precision volumetric measurement of two immiscible fluids while at pressure and temperature.

The built-in serial interface allows the separator to be directly interfaced into a control computer for remote monitoring and test automation. The separator controller performs the volume calculation using a special first arrival algorithm. An oscilloscope type display of the acoustic reflection from the two phase and target interface along with measured parameters such as fluid velocity and volumes inside the separator offer the user the ability to monitor separator performance at a glance. The separator self calibrates continuously at the conditions of the test for maximum accuracy.
