The MDP-405 is a heavy duty, manually operated floor standing drill press. It offers a 1.5 HP motor with up to 3800 RPM capabilities. The core pan/table height is adjustable with rack and pinion hand crank movement, and can also be tilted to +/-45 degrees.The MDP-405 also incorporates a coolant recovery pan and splash guard system. With the core clamped in place the splash guard can be closed (with the core still openly visible) for clean, splash free operation. The tray allows a core of up to 3 ft long to be mounted and drilled without removing or cutting into smaller segments.

The rotary union utilized to connect the drill bits to the drill press and feed coolant to the bit face is compatible with water, oils, and even liquid nitrogen.
